This is a product by the American brand Vu. It is the largest selling TV brand on e-commerce websites in India. And for very good reasons. This series has excellent HD screen resolution, above average audio and the benefits of an Android TV and more without leaving with you a deserted wallet.

This series comes in three screen variants – 32 inches, 40 inches and 43 inches. The 32 inch variant has a resolution of 1366×768. The 40 and 43 inches variant have an increased resolution of 1920×1080. It comes with adaptive contrast so that areas on the screen are automatically darkened and lightened for better contrast. It also has various in-built picture modes to select from such as Sports/Movies/Games etc.

In the audio department, it has in-built Dolby audio and DTS Surround Sound Technologies. The 32 inch variant has 20 Watt speakers. The 40 and 43 inch variant have 24 Watt speakers. They sound decently loud and clear for a medium sized hall or bedroom. However, if the requirement includes complete audio immersion or the TV is to placed in a relatively large room/hall, a sound bar is recommended.

It has a decent user interface. The only way of input is via the remote control that comes in the box but without any voice input it takes a bit too long to type using the remote.

This Android TV is brought to you by Mi. It has a 4K screen with a resolution of 3840 x 2160. It also supports HDR with brings punchier colors and better contrast. How has Mi managed to make a 43 inch 4K TV at this price point is something that is hard to answer, but it’s here. It’s price is around Rs. 25,000 at the time of drafting of this article.

It also has 20W Dolby+DTS Audio for a decent audio experience. It will be suitable for a mid-sized bedroom. In the user interface department, it has a decent minimalist design which won’t cause any hassles but also won’t stand out among others in any way. Along with the support of HLG and Dolby Vision, it also supports HDR10 and HDR10+, all of which ensure brighter colors, blacker blacks and whiter white for better contrast. It also has gamma color magic chip which ensures best-in-class picture reproduction. One feature that stands out the most is it’s ability to upscale lower frame rate videos (say 24 Hz) to 60Hz. This is done to reduce the soap opera effect.
